CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) — Two people were sentenced Friday morning for their parts in a drug-related robbery where a man was shot in the face last winter in a Charleston West Side Hill neighborhood.
Richard Dangott shot Billy Fields in the face and shoulder in late January near Walnut and Red Oak streets. The ex-convict ended up pleading guilty to malicious wounding and the use of a firearm in a felony and faced up to 20 years in prison. His apology to the victim did not impress Judge Duke Bloom.
